Used IBM 5250 Terminals

IBM's first generation 5250 Mid-Range Terminal.  The IBM 5291, IBM 3179, IBM 3180 - 5250 type "GSD" display terminals were the first to replace the IBM 5251 monochrome and display terminals.   These terminals were IBM's first migration to plastic cased terminals.  They consisted of  seperate components:  a monitor, a logic, and keyboard.   They were considerably lighter than the previous  IBM 5251 and had a smaller footprint for the desktop.

IBM's second generation 5250  Mid-Range Terminal.  The IBM 3196, IBM 3197 -   5250 type "GSD" display terminals consist of  seperate components:  a monitor, a logic, and choice of keyboard.   Lighter than the previous generation of 5250 display and having a smaller footprint for the desktop. The most significant change included capability for printer support.

IBM's third generation 5250 Mid-Range Terminal.  The IBM 3476 Infowindow and the IBM 3477 Infowindow -  5250 type "GSD" display terminals consist of  seperate components:  a monitor, a logic, and choice of keyboard.   Lighter than the previous generation of 5250 display and having a smaller footprint for the desktop. The most significant change is the logic being built into the display of the 3476 and the logic being modular to the display of the 3477.
