Refurbished IBM 8210 Multiprotocol Switched Services (MSS) Server
The used IBM 8210 MSS Server allows you to use ATM switching fabric to expand your network. Use the refurbished IBM 8210 MSS to your campus ATM switch and create a multiprotocol backbone for IP, IPX and ATM transport. The used IBM 8210 Nways MSS Server provides LAN Emulation and Classic IP (C-IP) network function by providing LAN Emulation Server (LES), Broadcast and Unknown Server (BUS), and LAN Emulation Configuration Server (LECS) support for multiple emulated LANs and ARP Server for multiple Logical IP Subnets (LIS). The refurbed IBM 8210 Nways MSS Server also provides IBM added value to the standards in the form of the Broadcast Manager (BCM). This optional function tames the layer 3 broadcasts that have plagued network managers. The refurbished IBM 8210 Nways MSS Server provides bridging support between multiple Virtual LANs (VLANs) and routing between layer 3 Subnets. IP can be routed between C-IP LISs and IP subnets on VLANs. The refurbed IBM 8210 Nways MSS Server also supports bridging and routing between Forum Compliant LAN Emulation and IBM LAN emulation allowing for coexistence and migration for current ATM LAN Emulation networks. Choose from three refurbished IBM 8210 models. The used IBM 8210-001 with a 100 Mhz processor, the used IBM 8210-002 with a 166 Mhz processor or the used IBM 8210-003 with a 233 Mhz processor.
