IBM 8226 Token Ring Hub

First generation IBM 8226-001 8-Port Token Ring Hub. The IBM 8226-001 is IBM's complement to the IBM 8228-001 MAU. The IBM 8226 is IBM's low cost RJ45 unmanaged MAU targeted at small workgroup LANs using twisted pair wiring and RJ45 connectors. The IBM 8226-001 is ideal for the small office connecting 8 to 80 workstations.

IBM 8228 Token Ring Hub

First generation IBM 8228-001 8-Port Token Ring MAU. The IBM 8228-001 MultiStation Access Unit (MAU) was the first Token Ring Hub announced by IBM. The IBM 8228 is IBM's low cost MAU targeted at small workgroup LANs using type 1 ICS cabling. Up to 32 IBM 8228's can be connected together providing 256 node capacity.
