Used IBM 8270 Token Ring LAN Switch
The Used IBM 8270 Token Ring LAN Switch is a versatile switch with high-speed uplinks designed to help relieve a large Token Ring LAN experiencing congestion. The refurbed IBM 8270 Switch allows you to add from 4 to 30 ports and/or token ring segments per switch, the highest ports per switch within the IBM family of switch products. Install uplink UFC's to connect native protocols to high-speed links. Connect multiple refurbished IBM 8270's together and increase the number of Token Ring LAN segments to be switched. Combine the use of the used IBM 8270 with other refurbed IBM switches such as the refurbished IBM 8272 and refurbished IBM 8260 to add even greater flexibility to your network. Next specify the used IBM 8270 processor card, pictured third position from the left.
Pictured above is the used IBM 8270-800. This eight slot refurbished IBM 8270 switch comes with one power supply standard on the unit. Next specify the refurbed IBM 8270 processor card, pictured third position from the left (**Note** - processor is standard on the IBM 8270-600. Finally, specify up to eight used IBM 8270 Universal Feature Cards ranging from Token Ring Enhanced UTP/STP ports, enhanced fiber ports to a variety of MSS and ATM ports. Pictured in order after the the used IBM 8270 processor card are the following UFC's: #2762 - 1 port ATM Token Ring II MMF module, #5092 - 4 port Token Ring Enhanced UTP/STP module and the #5087 - 2 port Token Ring Enhanced Fiber Module.
