The New IBM 8285 ATM Workgroup Switch is a multipurpose expandable ATM network switch. The New IBM 8285 is fully autonomous and provides all the features and performance to handle multimedia traffic in voice, data or video formats. The IBM 8285 ATM Switch allows for the integration of the LANE Server and the Broadcast Unknown Server for migration from conventional LANs to ATM. Start with the NEW IBM 8285-00B base unit for connectivity for up to 12 users and a server and grow your ATM network with the feature #5502 expansion for a network of up to 48 ATM stations.
