Alcatel OS 7700
The Alcatel OmniSwitch 7700 intelligent multi-layer switch. The Alcatel 7700 delivers carrier-class features and funtionality. The OS-7700 offers:
- Enterpirse core and edge applications
- LAN aggregation/distribution
- IP telephony/LAN wiring closets
- Gigabit Ethernet MANs
The Omni Switch 7700 is an 10-slot high density chassis with a fabric capacity of 64 Gbps and a throughput of 30 Mpps.
Populate the Alcatel OS/7700's with two center slots dedicated to managment modules and up to eight interface modules with an extensive array of Ethernet interfaces and port densities. The following interface modules are available for use in the OS-7700:
- Gigabit network interface modules (GNI)
- Two port 1000BaseX Ethernet module with GBIC slots
- Twelve port 1000BaseX Ethernet Module with Mini-GBIC slots.
- Twelve port 10/100/1000 BaseT Ethernet Module
