Alcatel OS 7800

The Alcatel OS7800 intelligent multi-layer switch.  The Alcatel OS-7800 delivers carrier-class features and funtionality.  The OS-7800 offers:

• Enterpirse core and edge applications
• LAN aggregation/distribution
• IP telephony/LAN wiring closets
• Gigabit Ethernet MANs

The OmniSwitch 7800 is an 18-slot high density chassis with a fabric capacity of 128 Gbps and a throughput of 60 Mpps. 

Populate the Alcatel OS/7800's with two center slots dedicated to managment modules and up to eight interface modules with an extensive array of Ethernet interfaces and port densities. The following interface modules are available for use in the OS-7800:

• Gigabit network interface modules (GNI)
• Two port 1000BaseX Ethernet module with GBIC slots 
• Twelve port 1000BaseX Ethernet Module with Mini-GBIC slots.
• Twelve port 10/100/1000 BaseT Ethernet Module
