IBM 2230 ATM Switch
New and used IBM 2230 ATM Switch's are available!!!!
The new IBM 2230 ATM Switch provides ATM services for both the public carrier and private network. The 16 slot high performance IBM 2230 ATM backbone switch provides high port densities up to 64000 nodes per network. Dedicated signal processing, advanced distributed processing and network topology management are among the features providing integrated access to the full range of ATM services and support of the new IBM 2230 ATM Switch. Choose between the eight slot IBM 2230-600 with a maximum throughput capacity of 2.5 Gbps or the sixteen slot IBM 2230-650 with a maximum throughput capacity of 5.0 Gbps.
The new IBM 2230 ATM switch has the following types of modules:
- Switch Processor - controls the switch and interacts with multiplex Input/Output Processor Modules.
- Switch Processor Adapter - provides for the physical interface and connections for the SP's.
- Input/Output Processor - accommodate numerous interface specifications, speeds and protocols.
- Flow Control - Control and prioritize the data flow control through the CBX 500.
- Input/Output Adapter - Physical connections for the IOP's.
- Power Supply
- Cooling Fan
