The IBM 8276 provides a 36-port, 10Base-T Ethernet port switching concentrator that can be divided via software into four independent Ethernet segments. Four models are available, the IBM 8276-360, the IBM 8276-361, the IBM 8276-362, the IBM 8276-363, the IBM 8276-364, the IBM 8276-365 and the IBM 8276-365. The IBM 8276 extends the benefits of switching to the desktop. The IBM 8276 is for customers who would like the advantages of switching, LAN segmentation, virtual LANs (VLANs), routing and increased bandwidth.
